Based in Glasgow, we provide pre-booked private hire and transfer journeys around the city, across Scotland and for longer-distance trips. From airport transfers and city-to-city travel to corporate meetings, golfing trips, Highland tours, seaport transfers and special occasions, we help customers arrange travel to suit their plans.

DEPOSITS, PAYMENTS & CANCELLATION

Clear arrangements before your journey, with fair treatment if plans change.

At FLEX CABS Glasgow, some journeys may require a deposit or full payment in advance. The payment arrangement and any applicable cancellation terms will be explained when your journey is quoted or confirmed. Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.

1. Deposits and payment options

Depending on the journey, we may ask for:

  • a deposit to secure the booking, with the remaining balance payable on the day of travel;
  • full payment in advance; or
  • a part-payment arrangement agreed with FLEX CABS in advance, with the outstanding balance payable on the day of the journey.

Your booking is confirmed once we have accepted the journey and confirmed any required deposit or payment arrangement.

2. Cancellation more than 24 hours before pickup

If you cancel more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time, FLEX CABS will normally refund the deposit or advance payment in full. If an exceptional circumstance or a specific legal rule affects a refund, we will explain this to you clearly.

3. Cancellation within 24 hours of pickup

If you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time, a cancellation charge may apply. Any amount retained will be fair, reasonable and proportionate to the loss and reasonable costs caused by the cancellation, taking account of costs we can avoid or recover. We will not automatically keep the whole deposit where that would be unfair or unlawful; any amount due back will be refunded.

4. If you have paid in full

The same cancellation approach applies whether you have paid a deposit or the full fare in advance. For cancellations made more than 24 hours before pickup, a full refund will normally be issued. For cancellations within 24 hours, FLEX CABS may retain only a fair and lawful cancellation charge, with any remaining balance refunded.

5. Changes, delays and missed pickups

Requests to change a pickup time, destination or other booking detail depend on availability and may affect the price. Please contact us as soon as possible about delays or disruption. If a passenger does not arrive at the agreed pickup point or cannot be contacted, we will consider the circumstances and any reasonable loss when deciding whether a charge applies.

6. If FLEX CABS cancels

If we have to cancel and cannot agree a suitable alternative with you, we will refund payments for the service we cannot provide. We will communicate any changes as promptly as reasonably possible.

Fairness and your legal rights: This policy is intended to operate in line with applicable UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and relevant rules applying in Scotland. Your statutory rights are not affected. The exact rights that apply can depend on the booking circumstances and how the contract was made.
